Nice one Maddix, so we won't be seeing you in Dorset but probably sharing a few of those bands?

Booked a ticket for Wide Awake. Great lineup minus Idles. That is one that I'm definitely considering - just waiting for a little more certainty on the likelihood before I sink any more money into gig tickets!

Definitely a few on Trucks line-up who I’d love at Latitude! Same weekend so maybe a few cross overs?
Shame it’s the same weekend really...Could be tempted to switch myself if Latitude doesn’t pull it out the bag. 😂😂

He had gone the year before and left on the second day because he felt like a school teacher (he was only about 30 himself).

I went in 2019, and yes it’s a bit of a GCSE party, but once you realise that you were doing the same at 16, it gets easier as the weekend go’s on 😂

Yeah. Was initially a bit concerned with the second day being added as I could only realistically do one day. Luckily the Friday (which I have a ticket for due to it rolling over from last year) features most of the acts I want to see.
Yard Act is the big one for me. Also excited by Marlowe (never expected them to be on the bill!).
Dry Cleaning were the main reason I bought a ticket for last year but this more than makes up for it.

Consequence of Sound (now just Consequence) have an online festival this weekend. It's US time, so late, but it's on now for a great cause so take a look if you can. Just seen a band for BitF, Hearty Har. Not shabby for bottom of the line up.

Overall for us an improved lineup.

Didn't like the old line up much - very sad to lose Bright Eyes, Monophonics, Andy Shauf, Ian Noe but gaining John Grant and Arab Strap is cool. Still the weakest year yet for my tastes but who cares.... I just want to go!

Green Man selling the few tickets they have left tmrw (thursday) at 10am. I have tickets from a friend for me and Mrs moz. But have to try and get kiddie moz a ticket on its own. Without a booking reference. Which will be....fun?!? Still.....they are happening!!!

Odd that Green Man are selling their remaining tickets and then announcing the line-up....EOTR's method seems much better

In theory, it is odd.
I think, in practice, they both have a fanbase who would buy tickets whoever is playing....I mean, we have. And it s the first time ever I have bought a ticket without an idea of who will be playing....

Interesting that EotR are allowing people to cancel, they pointed out their T&Cs allow for line-up changes. They must be sure not many people will/others will buy, people want a festival this year. Also good PR

Still the weakest year yet for my tastes but who cares.... I just want to go! Neither version of the line up had/have enough for me at the top of the bill, though plenty lower down as expected. Not a major issue as we can't go this year anyway due to the timing with school, but all that said I would still bloody jump at it as a weekend of music given the live music desert of the last year.

Yup we’ve been.
Overall impression is it’s a lot of fun but not in a serious way.
In more detail:
Most of the site is in the Hertfordshire hills and quite pleasant - not Green Man beautiful but not a featureless field either. A plus is you can use their swimming pool if you want to and their lawns are always a nice quiet spot to escape to. Slight downside it’s in a dip in the hills so can get a bit boggy if it rains hard.
Festival was cash free with wristbands you can charge up - we liked this but might not be to everyone’s liking.
Atmosphere - very friendly & happy vibe. Child & family friendly but not to Camp Bestival levels. Some of the child related stuff is good fun like the fancy dress competition, dog show and things like horrible histories. Overall it feels like a big family birthday party/ barbecue. (Also amusing to see the dads who don’t go out much caning it a bit hard of Friday and then struggling on Saturday)
Its also dog friendly but people are very sensible with them - clearing up after them and not taking them into big crowds. You just have to be wary of leads and small dogs as a trip hazard.
Music - lineups are often stronger than you might think. Not deep introspective muso stuff but not Reading & Leeds either - we’ve seen everyone from British Sea Power & Idles (on a small stage) to Grace Jones & Gary Numan.
Other stuff - not too much other than music goes on - some yoga / spiritual stuff and handicrafts for kids. We found mornings a bit slow.
In summary we check the line up every year and will go again if it suits but don’t expect hard core partying..
