More for EotR this week, apparently. I asked as a comment on an Instagram post and they cam back with 'This week...' It said on Facebook Thursday announcement including third headliner but I can't find it now. I swear I saw it.

It said on Facebook Thursday announcement including third headliner but I can't find it now. I swear I saw it. Its on their Facebook page : "We'll be adding more names to the line up on Thursday morning, including our third headliner! And it’s a doozy. *smug face*" And for those of us going to Truck, Thursday also has a second announcement @ 6pm.

So EOTR's 3rd headliner is Bill Callaghan, more dozy than doozy to me, but lower down the announcement are Japandroids and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, so I'm a very happy bunny this morning.

I think the undercard is pretty strong now (Aldous Harding is a fab add, as are Japandroids) but it's still not a bad one for me personally to have missed. But I will still miss it!

I think Simon Taffe must've been hanging around with Melvin........Bill Callahan is a nice addition, but not one you should be bigging up

So EOTR's 3rd headliner is Bill Callaghan I googled this and it came up with a Yeoman Beefeater, I was completely confused for about 2 seconds.

I had never heard the name Bill Callahan until 4 hours ago nor Smog. Loving The Japanoids and good to see Slowdive on the Thursday. Gonna have to Spotifying most of these but did that with the first announcements and mostly found gems apart from that Demarco chap. Just don't get him being that popular.

I know that was (justifiably) @ madds, but my one recommend - tailored to you Wayne 🎸 boy - is Ultimate Painting (choose Green Lanes album).

Not a great announcement for me (not a problem, I already had enough to keep me happy) - I like Japandroids (tho latest album is a bit disappointing), Timber Timbre can be good if they are in the mood. Nothing hugely grabbing me on first investigation.....Lowly seem the best, Allison Crutchfield and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever seem interesting. Moonlandingz could be fun.
And fun does seem to be the weakness with the EOTR line-up once more.......everyone is either dour/miserable/downbeat, or totally batshit.
Very little gently upbeat or playful.

And for those of you going to EOTR who don't read your emails from festivals fully :
THURSDAY NIGHT The Big Top and Tipi stage will both be live on Thursday evening. Slowdive are headlining the Big Top supported by The Moonlandingz. End of The Road veterans will know that we always have the Tipi Stage running on Thursday evening, but that last year we ran the Woods Stage too for a one-off special by The Shins. So you can make your travel plans, we wanted to be very clear about what is happening this year.

For those with Truck tickets, a pretty good addition to what was already pretty impressive (for me leastways).
Highlights for me: Pumarosa - so good last year at Lat Honeyblood - Lat too The Moonlandingz Hinds The Big Moon - did anyone catch them at Lat last year?

Not getting any response to trying to find out about Garden Stage headliners at EOTR (sorry, but I really don't think Band of Horses, Lucinda Williams, JAMC - I think they will be Woods subs).
My guess is that they are either "tba" or its Amadou and Mariam, Ty Segall (who is confirmed on Garden) and Real Estate.
If they are "tba" they can't be anything too significant, because of numbers concerns. Would quite like Mew.
Kinda relaxed because all three Woods headliners are "I think I'd probably enjoy that but I don't mind if I miss it" for me.

talk to me about end of the road people. whats it like, pros and cons, how does it compare to latitude etc.
i dont need convincing on the lineup as for me it's near perfect, just all the other stuff to make the travel worthwhile/convince mates to go.

is there enough going on all the time though? i guess one of my fears is that it might be a bit dull for want of a better word. i kinda felt the same at the first few latitudes and this has been an area latitude has massively improved on in recent years with keith allen late at night etc.

Perhaps more noticeable is that there's not much going on until after noon, if you're an early riser!

Lovely atmosphere, is great in that you can get between the stages in a few minutes at most to minimise clash problems. The teepee stage goes on quite late/early, disco in the woods is always worth a look. Though you won't find too much hardcore raving going on really. It really is a very good festival though.

anyone know when the stage splits tend to get announced? my concern at the moment is how many horrific clashes there will be. i know stage times will be announced much closer but wondering when stage splits start to come through so you can at least estimate clashes using clashfinder etc
