Green Man Tickets got on sale on Thursday then.
Who else is planning on going next year?
We're probably going to do Settlers this time round, try and see a bit more of the local area in the days beforehand, and squeeze in a bit more relaxing and hopefully time to catch up with people properly rather than just snatched conversations between songs in the Far Out tent!

Well my finger is going to be over the button tomorrow at 10am for Early Bird Settlers' tickets and the same ex-Lat Billy Loadsa Mates and current EOTR Happy Campers who've I've done Settlers with the last couple of years are going to be there as well. If you can afford the extra time off for it (cash wise its not that much more expensive), it's definitely worth giving Settlers a go, it's a very chilled way to head into a festival and as an added bones you're in the Blue Car Park not Orange.

Can you ALL please STOP reminding everyone that tick tocks are on sale tomorrow? I need a fighting chance to get them....
We are gonna try for settlers too. We did it in 2019. It was great! Course....if we dont get early bird tickets, then £300 each is getting close to being out of our price range. Mind you, its gonna be our one and only weeks holiday as well (what with business not being exactly a rip roaring success. And this was BEFORE a cost of living crisis. And the economy crumbling like a cadbury's flake. Ask your parents.), so its worth it.
Good luck all.

Got mine! I mean....we all like that Green Man is a lovely independent event. However, as we all love it, it's becomes more and more stressful getting tickets. Maybe time to move to a 'ballot' system? Which I also hate, but won't mean I'm wasting time hitting f5 and getting anxious....

Really pleased for you Moz 😁
In the end we’ve decided we don’t have the capacity for this level of stress so we’ll try later and if it’s sold out, it’s sold out. Judging by social media and efestivals, it’s a bit of a horror show
We do miss the days when you could wait for the lineup before buying tickets

Even now, there is a slight worry that they could COMPLETELY change their booking policy and announce Ian Brown & Morrissey or something. I mean....im SURE they won't. But who's to know? These last few years have been full of unexpected occurrences.

If you are determined enough, there are ALWAYS ways to get them after they are sold out. People sell them all the time (we got this years from a lovely person who couldnt go due to being pregnant, with the due date around the festival time. That was in 2020, too....).

Ended up with someone else getting mine for me as I had to go out at 10:45. There appears to be no problem getting most ticket types now though. Apparently if it says Sold Out and you refresh, things are magically on sale again. Ticketline are the worst of the worst.

Sadly it kids you there are tickets and then stops you when you try to move onto payment.
Unless we’re willing to go down the resale market, we won’t be there this year - at least we’ll get to see the lineup first.
I want to know where the extra people have come from and when are they going to feck off back where they came from. 😂😂😂

Really hoping Paul & Sara managed to get tickets…. We just about managed to get tickets. Not Settlers though as despite having early bird tickets in the basket 3 times, it crashed every time, and full price for Settlers felt too steep.

We were waiting around 15 minutes, but then got them. And we find out we were ticket number 15 & 16. The ONLY thing I can think that might have helped is we signed in to our ticketline account around half hour before 10. Other than that, it was as frustrating as it always seems to be.... One of the very few things that annoy about Green Man. That's, like, one a minute!

Well it sold out in three hours, and GM have posted on FB that they do realize it was a clusterfuck, and they need to do something about it.
In other news, Latitude marketeers sit round a table trying too work out how middle class, family friendly, GM can sell c. 25k tickets in three hours without any line-up announcements, when (I suspect) it takes them at least 3 months to sell that many tickets even having made a line-up announcement.

Okay, appreciate I might be on rocky ground with some here. BUT. Am I the only one (re Green Man) getting a bit sick of the quasi entitlement of parents who can't take their toddlers because there was a set number of (free) infant tix within the overall mix? It's all "so unfair their baby can't go", and really any number of infants should be allowed regardless the impact on the rest of the festival. Rant over. Shoot me if you wish.

In other 2023 festie news... Portals is back. And moving! To Earth in Hackney. portalsrock.com/festival.htmlThey promise a bigger, better festival, with 'bigger' acts. They have also hiked up the price somewhat (£65ish instead of £40 odd) I love the Bostom Dome & venues around there. And I dont like Earth (only been once, to see Idles. IT seemed cold. Emotionally. If that makes ANY sense). However.....I trust Portals. And I bloody LOVE ASIWYFA. AND the eating options around Earth will be much better than the Dome..... Anyway. I got my ticket. Maybe you should think about going too? No pressure. x

Makes me wonder what that will do for the demographic- that price has got to hurt! Students? Family of four at nearly 1400? Even if I went on my own I’d struggle to find many friends that into festivals who would be able to justify spending £340

I realise Latitude is going along a different path than some of us would like. But.....let's count our chickens, eh. I present to you my entry to the WORST curated line up I have EVER seen. macmoray.com/(I should also add that the headliners are at the bottom, not the top. Bless.)

To say that is incoherent is an understatement! Nazareth and The Vengaboys? Big Country and Bewitched? Bay City Rollers and Rednex? It's clearly a family festival, for parents and their kids, it's just that the kids in this scenario are 40.

Jane is of the opinion that the unifying theme on the line up is “at least one original band member is dead - probably due to drugs”
Seems as good an explanation as any other.
(Confession time - I would quite like to see Nazareth)

SO....
due to kid Moz being disabled enough to warrant a free carer's ticket (?!), we are going to Deer Shed. Which is nice.
I think I've asked before. But that would mean trying to find the relevant thread. And....Im a lazy man. So apologies if I have asked before. But.....what's the skinny? I've heard its very kid friendly. But.....what about layout? food options? size of site? distance between stages? sound bleed issues? any hints & tips?
Thanks. If you know where to find a blooming site map too, that would be swell.
Love to you all. x

More than a little excited for the EOTR line up announcement tomorrow…… I'm not. As I'm doing green man, the eotr announcement always makes me feel like I'm on bullseye and Jim bowen tells me 'here's what you could have won'. EDIT !!! After seeing the EOTR line up....apart from a few notable exceptions, I am not unhappy.
