I wasn't sure if this had been seen by anyone else but Paul Heaton is going to be performing with guest vocalists as Jacqui Abbott has stepped back from the tour on medical advice

So....got an email today. New Headline partners of Latitude! Barclaycard are replacing Atrthur Daley and Co. Big. News. Oh that really annoyed me to read that the only announcement in the e-mail was the sponsor.
You have to assume that it was Barclaycard who pushed for that, which strikes me as pretty desperate.
I'm surprised that Latitude accepted them as the sponsor after what happened with Neil Young. You'd think the brand would be tarnished.
I really can't imagine that the money a company stumps up is worth it. I'm a Palace fan (Cinch sponsor) and regular Latitude atendee, and haven't ever typed in cinch.com in the address bar.
Also, sadly it is "Barclaycard presents Latitude".
Yuck.

I did actually use Cinch this month when looking for a car but I don't think it was because of the Lat connection.
But they were overpriced and autotrader was better
At least I'll have a bigger car to fill with stuff I don't need for this year

Anyone noticed a big gap on the lineup below pulp? Surely we are getting a surprise act? Sticking with the Brit pop themselves me of the headliner, their tour schedule and the fact they played latitude in 2011 I think it could be Suede.

Or possibly another big UK guitar act like Two Door,The Vaccines or Kasabian.

I did wonder if the gap was just the formatting of the line up. Pulp being a single word as opposed to Paulo Nutini, which next to it takes up 2 lines.
However, there is definitely room for another act, 5 acts plus headliner on the mainstage is 1 or 2 acts light.
Yard Act have said they will not clash with Pulp, so could be that Pulp go on fairly late, with a decent sub headliner under them.

Editors have announced Glastonbury and another couple of UK dates in the last few days.... I'd be very happy to see them added to the line up.

I did wonder if there will be another act then too, there's definitely room for another one there Richard Hawley is supporting them on a few dates so could it be him? Alternatively Wet Leg are for their Finsbury Park show but I wondered if they'd save them to headline off their next album
Also been confirmed today Kelly Jones' country music side project Far From Saints are playing the tent on the Saturday, looks like they're subbing before Young Fathers

I've seen a setlist from last night's Pulp show and I think it has the potential to be one of the best headline sets Latitude has had if it stays the same, I guess they may adjust it for festivals though

I know most people on here are pretty down on Latitude lineups these days, but I've just bought a ticket to my other festival - which I've attended every year since I moved to Spain in 2006 and even the uber-alternative Primavera Sound, which started as a rock festival, now has as many full-on Pop and hip-hop acts as indie or rock. This year's headliners include Skrillex, Calvin Harris and Halsey which really don't have alternative profiles plus a bunch of hip hop acts who festival purists turn their noses up at. The festival site has grown beyond all recognition now and can take half an hour to walk across, pushing most of the major acts to a big car park, their green credentials are just abysmal, and while I paid €80 in 2007 for the three-day ticket, it now costs €354.50 - over twice the price I paid in 2019.
Primavera is often held up as one of the best festivals in the world and they do still get great acts, of course, but most of my friends have given up on it for these reasons and this'll be the first year I only go for a day. I think that, in comparison, Latitude has held onto its musical identity better in a time when there aren't as many indie and rock acts coming through to headline status.
I'm not having a go at anyone for missing what Latitude used to be, but I'm grateful for what it is still is and really looking forward to this year. (rant over! 😁)

I hope everyone is good! This must be about as quiet as this forum has ever been what with the festival on the horizon. Any more music names to come do we think?

We're still due an Obelisk act on Friday, I do wonder if this could be used for a secret set? Especially as Pulp are probably the big draw this year so a bigger name on side would be good I'm getting very excited for it all! It's always the highlight of my year and there are some really great and varied names scattered through the lineup
Also noticed Sunday tickets have now sold out, guess this would possibly put pressure on the rest of the tickets too

Hi all , first timer here . Am really surprised how quiet this place is but really looking forward to the festival . At what point can we expect a more detailed line up with timings on smaller stages etc . Interesting that sunday is the day to sell out first as that is the weakest day for me

Stage times are usually announced a week or 2 before, the app is really useful for all that (it hasn't been updated for this year yet) but some day splits are on the website currently I'll be surprised if Friday doesn't sell out too, Pulp are selling out a lot of other dates now and there are only a few places to see them this year

Agree on there being some gaps to fill. Last years they had 7 acts on Obelisk each day, so there’s potentially a gap on Friday and Sunday.

We keep thinking we might come, and then decide against it. And then think we might come, and then decide against it.
I am truly amazed that both Saturday and Sunday's day tickets are sold out. Unless they've lowered the usual number of day tickets for each day in order to push people towards taking a weekend ticket instead?
I'm keeping my eyes on Twickets in the hope of picking up a bargain nearer to the time. If we fail, then I guess it'll be our first missed Latitude since 2013. Which is an upsetting thought.

I'm still toying with a Friday day ticket, as the lineup isn't bad, but...... its all bands I've seen several times, and Sara won't be able to join me (teacher) so I'd prob not win too many brownie points.

My wife's a teacher too but they break up for summer on the Wednesday (19th) which makes it all the more attractive to come this year, but £300 p.p plus 'spends' puts it in the £1k for a weekend away category, and that just seems overly excessive at this point in time. The other issue is that there's loads I fancy seeing on Friday and Saturday but, with the exception of James and the orchestra on Sunday lunchtime, there's not one act I'm attracted to on Sunday (with the exception, possibly, of Sophie Ellis Bextor - but obviously I'm not going to admit to that on a public forum....).
