So.... what are we thinking? My initial guess at the moment is Sam Fender / Florence + The Machine / Kasabian Obviously a lot can change but we should start seeing who's active more later in the autumn Since the news earlier this week I've also been thinking Pulp could be a really good headliner. Jarvis has a good relationship with the festival and they'd suit the demographic perfectly

They missed their chance with Sam Fender this year, i think he'll be off the circuit next year writing and recording a new album. Flo possibly, Kasabian too raucous for an Obelisk Headliner these days, although Foals can rock it out with the best of them.
I'll go with;
Lizzo/The Vaccines/Pulp

Megadeth Sunday lunchtime slot. Monster Magnet headlining scary on the Saturday. Rebecca Black surprise set in the sunrise. Slayer Saturday mainstage headliners, performing Reign In Blood, with a hologram of Jeff Hanneman on guitar. Black Lace on the main stage, prob a tea time slot to keep people's energy up.
Also Kajagoogoo Elaine Page Rod, Jane and Freddy live PA Green Jelly Kevin Bloody Wilson Falco

It's rare they would have an Obelisk headliner that isn't contemporary but maybe they would make an exception for Pulp (and I guess Snow Patrol aren't exactly modern).
I predict Bicep as a BBC Sounds headliner.
And surely Michael Kiwanuka is due back.

Her voice genuinely made me want to break things. Completely. Music for people who dont like music. To buy in your local BP. The literal sound of Beige. Its a pint of fosters. Dull.

Gorillaz have a new album out next February. If they're active at a few other festivals next year around the continent I wouldn't be surprised if they make an appearance, especially with Damons relationship with the festival

Been 🤞 for Gorillaz for many years - maybe if with Little Simz (who was frankly tremendous this year)…?

Another name to throw in the mix... Depeche Mode are expected to announce a new tour soon, think they'd be an awesome Saturday night throwback headliner

How much we reckon ticket prices are going to be next year then? I'll say £285 plus booking fee.

Social media branding has changed and they've said an announcement is coming up. Looks as if they're getting in early this year

Guessing they're thinking cost of living means a lot of people are going to do 1 festival at most next year, so they can't announce late and miss any floaters who will have already bought tickets for one of the competing fetivals

Yes seen the same thing, a good first name Looks as if they're going to drip feed names over the next few days. Who else are we thinking? I'm going to bet 2 of Pulp, The 1975 and Florence and the Machine
