Well that makes it easy for me unfortunately
It would have been a great line up in 1993 but not 2023

I'm more excited by this first announcement than I was for all of last years. Some great names in there and over the moon Pulp are there too. Great start from Melvin and co

Well that makes it easy for me unfortunately It would have been a great line up in 1993 but not 2023 I'd agree with that for the sole reason that George Ezra was a one-month old baby at the time (yes, I did check!) and watching the little tike napping or perhaps having a bit of a gurgle would be preferable to seeing the charisma-less singer perform at Latitude again.
BUT, apart from that, I'm happy with the announcement, I just hope for a really good second stage headliner so I don't have to watch Ezra - Metronomy would certainly do the job.

Strong Rewind Festival vibes.....
Pulp will be great but not great enough to justify a weekend ticket. Paolo Nutini was great last time he was at Latitude but I'd prefer to see someone new. George Ezra....the guy was only there a 2 or 3 years ago. Again, please book someone new! The Kooks used to be great but were absolutely terrible the last time I saw them play in Norwich. Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott will be a good drunken singalong. Please someone explain The Proclaimers and Lightening Seeds. I'm normally pretty relaxed about the line up and go every year as its a local festival and always a good weekend of child free camping with friends but this line up is just not justifying the cost.

Just realised it's not CINCH PRESENTS - hopefully enough money in the booking budget to still have some other good names coming

Have latitude forgot that women and people who aren't white exist? Having said that. A day ticket for Pulp is a must for me. Hopefully Black Midi play the Friday with them. Seems even more squarely aimed at a certain socio demographic than ever. "Rewind vibe" captures it, and is probably a big market. However Pulp is a good catch, as is Black Midi actually.... but never been less likely to go with the rest of it.

Maybe they are going to announce the reinstatement of the Lake Stage and a load of new, edgy young bands in the new year, but methinks probably not - might upset the new demographic, which clearly doesn't include me. Will be aiming to catch Pulp @ Finsbury Park.

I think its a solid announcement. Bit Radio 2, but i can live with that, as long as there is plenty of interesting stuff going on elsewhere.

Rewind captures it perfectly!
I mean, wow, the majority of the bands named so far are fronted by white blokes in 40-60 age bracket and were last releasing stuff in the 1990s or 2000s at best… makes last year’s line up look positively avant garde.
But who knows, judging by the response on social, people are liking it so who am I judge!

Wow, saw her in 1981 at Ipswich Gaumont supported by John Cooper Clarke, will be interesting to see what sort of set list she plays

Awesome booking. Shame with the day splits announced today that none of the acts I want to see are on the Pulp day.

Bar the already confirmed Young Fathers, I wonder how much of this lineup could pop up at the festival? I know they shared Groove Armarda last year and have shared acts previously too

Often there's no rhyme or reason for their announcements, last year there was nothing until March and this year we have several already. I wouldn't be surprised if there's one in the next few weeks

trampolene have self confirmed on twitter. i'd imagine this means another announcement is incoming. There don't seem to be many announcements next week so seems the perfect time, I know Download are which is also ran by FR. I would imagine midweek would be a good time Based off pure speculation I'm going to guess Wet Leg will sub Pulp and Blossoms will sub George Ezra. Both acts are active and did it/are doing it at each headliners Finsbury Park shows

Softplay (band formerly known as Slaves) are back together and assume will be playing festivals this year. Saw them headline the tent one year, and they were fantastic. Would love to see them added to the bill.
