Final ,though predictable (to me anyway), was hilarious in our house just for the screams it induced in the girls.
I thought E5 was v funny (Nans Birthday)

SO.....me and the ladywife have finally started Game OF Thrones. We have watched the first 2 episodes. Tell me......it gets better, right? RIGHT? Because, at the moment, it has the feel of a rubbish Sunday afternoon medievel drama. But....you know.....with nakedness & rutting.....

Moz It is the best thing on TV. Ever. Stick with it. (PS: what's wrong with nakedness and rutting?) Nothing, in theory. But.....maybe I'm being a wee bit sensitive, but it's all a little....rape-y? We will, at least, watch the 1st season....

Good observation Moz. And weirdly, someone made that exact point on throne cast the other night. There are at least three significant sex scenes in GOT which are portrayed as "a bit rapey" in the TV series which are clearly not at all "rapey" in the books.
A worrying tend.

Moz It is the best thing on TV. Ever. Stick with it. Agreed. This season has been amzing. Did anyone watch the Sky Arts Guitar Star thing? It was actually quite enjoyable. I understand the grumbles about scrimping on bookings, but seeing their little faces and how nervous they all were... its a really big deal for whoever wins. And a reward for working hard and having actual talent (unlike some of the tosh on that ITV programme). Will definitely go to watch the winner* *providing it doesn't clash with anything I actually want to see, in which case guitar guitschmar

Game of Thrones update. We are 3 eps into season 2. Im.....still not sure. And im now watching a medievil show with dragons & zombies. Its dungeons & dragons without the 12 sided dice, isnt it? Im just not getting the.....'specialness' of it. Besides, we maight be having a bit of a pause. What with new series of Orange In The New Black tmrw (12th June). S1 was a little....weak. S2 was BRILLIANT though. So......excited.

in the right context, boobs are fine. great even. I dont think a D&D esque TV drama with bloody dragons & spirit creatures are really the right place.....

I dont believe that i WAS being sexist, btw. I never said what context boobs were considered great. The feeding of a young child. Or in the situation of a loving relationship with your significent other, if that other likes them. I was TRYING to say that a sub-par D&D-esque TV drama WASNT the place for them, as i believe it is far too gratuitous. I also think that there are many problems with Game of Thrones' portrayal of women. And having a 'strong' dragon queen does not negate that. In my opinion.
Apologies if you thought i was being sexist. Course, i'd have thought you'd have thought better of me to think that....maybe i didnt explain myself correctly.
Again, apologies. I am NOT Tim Hunts.

On the subject of Great Tits, has anyone else been watching Springwatch, or is it just me? Far more violence and sex than GoT.

What I WILL say is, your like of boobs should be put in context. Just saying you like boobs does look like its a wee bit sexist, even if that isnt the intention. I think that makes sense....

Sorry, peeps, couldn't resist calling you on that, it's tricky, isn't it? Really just a vehicle for using that hashtag (some excellent uses on twitter yesterday).
Just got back from London Road (film) and now watching TFI... a bit early to say, but it seems a bit dated, no? Hope it doesn't push CE back into his old habits.
Btw you do all know that Suffolk is the home of Springwatch. Life really does revolve around Suffolk as we draw near to Latitude....

Best line on tv for a while "John Snow more?' Spoiler alert, Moz (if you get that far)
I had to ask Mrs R to explain this to me. Oh dear, I'm thick.
PS: Never realised Cersei had such a firm bum under all those layers. Turns out it was a body double and they CGI'd her head on. Shame.
