As the title says I am new to Latitude this year but have been to Glasto several times but have glamped. My wife came to Glastonbury the first time but didn't like the shower and toilet situation. I can see there are showers in the main camping area but with so many people it must be very difficult to get in. Are there any other options inc paid for. What are the loos like ? Why is there no map on the latitude website ? Makes me very suspicious ! What time do we need to get there on Thursday to get a good spot? Any advice welcome

If you google Latitude festival map, the 2017 map comes up in images, unlikely to be very different this year. Pink Moon camping might be for you? For posh loos, seat of luxury.

hey colin. welcome. Thanks for joining! The showers in the main camping are, i believe, still communal. Go quite early to get in (half 6 am ish). I do not know about any other posh options. As i am poor.

There is ample space for camping so no need to arrive early. I normally get there about 3 to 4pm on Thursday and have loads of choice, but even for folks arriving Friday morning it's fine- nothing like glasto.
Showers are nothing special and have massive queues at peak times so either get up very early or go late night or during a v popular set! If a shower is essential to you then probs needs to be one of the premium camping areas I'm afraid

On another note, what are the queues like to get in on the Thursday and which camp site would you recommend for a more mature festival goer.
Thanks

Green campsite is usually quieter, stay clear of yellow campsite that tends to attract a younger and noisier crowd. Haven't been for a few years but the traffic in on a Thursday was much improved after they introduced a new traffic management plan, busy, but no horrendous 4 hour queues as of years back. Enjoy!

i *think* they close at 12am..... in the past i have done the "outside peak hours" showery thing (including in slightly inebriated late evening post bands state, rather surreal), and I can confirm that...... nothing is really that certain. you might find them open until midnight, or later, but equally you could find a 11pm scribbled "showers now shut" sign. that has happened. for obvious reasons almost nobody using them around 6-10pm.

Hi I'm not new to Latitude but for some reason didn't get round to finding the Solas stage last time. I've looked but cant see it on the map? Whereabouts is it, please? I'm putting my schedule together and trying to avoid wearing my legs off!

I'm putting my schedule together and trying to avoid wearing my legs off! As you enter the arena before you get to the main bridge turn right, along the river bank, and it's on your right. It's the area on the other side of the main entry way from the Alcove.

I'm putting my schedule together and trying to avoid wearing my legs off! If you go in via the main entrance Solas is on the right, it's not just a stage but a whole area, very chilled. Entrance is effectively opposite the sheep pen, ie take a right just before the bridge and entrance is there. Small stage in amongst it all. if you have last years map it is number 19

First time at Latitude this year. Quick question regarding the arena area and "Late Night" entertainment: does the arena are get closed each night and opened again for the next day (if so, what is usually the timing for this) or does it just stay open 24hrs a day from Thursday through to the end?

Hi Uncle T, welcome!
The arena closes after the music ends each night. From memory, it normally closes at 3.30am I think.. (Tends to be half hour earlier the sunday). Hope you enjoy your first time at the festival. Cheers.

Showers ? what are the queues like ? Buy 'Seat of Luxury" wristbands. This gives you access to nice toilets, showers and use of hairdryers/straighteners for your wife. I did it last year and it was well worth the money. The showers are exactly the same as the ones in the Pink Moon glamping area and the queues weren't too bad last year.

I hate to disagree, but Seat of Luxury doesn't have showers if I remember correctly. Just clean loos and sinks plus hairdryers etc. We've used them every year we've been when they were in the main shopping area near the medical tent, but last year they moved them into the camping area so not as convenient (pardon the pun) for a quick visit during the day from the arena. Not bothering with them this year.

Showers are βnew for 2019β in Seat of Luxury, according to the Latitude site. In the Village, by the looks of it.
Β£40 though...

Not bothering with them this year. Last year it was two separate companies - one with showers and then seat of luxury next door. We paid for the showers and they were great. Seems like they've merged this year as SOL are offering access to both for the one wristband. They were located in the middle of red camping so didn't need to trek to the village. Hope it's in the same location this year as it really worked well last year.

Hi, we are also new and on the mature side. We are staying in the campervan section. Which would be the best bit for us oldies?? I am a little confused as to whether or not you are allowed to do outside cooking in the camping area. Think it would be too hot to cook in the van . Is it ok to bring the mini butane gas stoves or not ?? Thanks very much to anyone who can help. Angie
