Only just got the latest album, but think it's going to be played quite a lot! Saw them live many moons ago when they played Camden Palace in 1996 (I think it was '96 anyway). They did a cover version of Blur's Tracey Jacks and Alex James, who was in the audience, got very excited and tried to join them on stage, only for security to throw him off rather unceremoniously!

SLEATER KINNEY! SLEATER KINNEY! SLEATER KINNEY!!! New album is familiar, yet unique. And it sounds so vital!! Makes you wonder why they stopped for a bit in the first place. Still....they are back. And as brilliant as ever. Moz is a happy boy.

3 songs available to download for free off his site, in celebration of his european tour. Hope he turns up at Latitude, always really enjoyed him live. Last time we saw him he exited stage left at the end then came into the crowd shaking hands and thanking us for turning up!

I know/ suspect/ that Grouchy boy wouldnt like this, but I have seen Will Doyle several times over the last 36 months and I love him.
This (imho) is just sublime:

I dont know where to put this......but.......im so excited.......its old news but ive only found out....
BABY CHAOS HAVE REFORMED!!!! Album out in April!! First new material in 17 years!!! GIGS HAPPENING!!!!
My teenage/20 something life is getting better & better. First Sleater Kinney. Then Prolapse. Now Baby Chaos. Just need the original Six. By Seven line up to reform and headling the 'tude, and life would be complete.....maybe with a dash of Bennet......and Urusei Yatsura....

okay so this is arguably a bit of a (lot?) derivative copy of you know which so called Latitude house band, but. but.
a poster called KYTV reported on them on the old EOTR thread about three years ago and I keep going back to them, then got to see them last spring - worth an hour and a half of your time & money

Good combination even if, as Mr Spock might ponder, most illogical.

Following on from gingerbond, I thought we could have some more of this. Apparently they are booked into 6 festivals over the summer, but can't say which ones. Hopefully Latitude............

Riverlodge, good shout buddy, really digging it.
I could see them coming across the pond to England, could follow the footsteps of Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

have been listening quite a bit to a canadian guy, tommy paxton beesley recently. i'd recommend a listen cos it is at the 'very accessible' end of the range of lofi / melodic that i like, not just cos he has a great band name (soundcloud link below) River Tiber
