Oh bugger, forgot to turn of out of office. Oh well, they'll get the idea when I don't reply, won't they?
My mellow being severely harshed by daughters breaking my tablet screen THREE DAYS after getting it back from it being fixed after a mysterious crack appeared while I was at work. ffs.
Nevertheless, one sleep! Whoop!

Argh, my laptop hard drive is kaput. Just as I was finishing a spreadsheet of which acts are at other festivals I'm going to this year so i can avoid the many clashes at Latitude. That's 3 hard drives I've lost in 2 months, it's just not funny anymore.

So, yesterday we got back from our favourite festival at about 1.30am, slept well but not nearly long enough as Monday was 1The Elder's graduation day. Two and a half hours away. We chipped off the congealed dust/suncream and put on glad rags and hopped back in the car to show our admiration, love and pride for one of the first cohort of £9,000-ers, a brave group of young folk with optimism we could all do with. Did the thing, met some truly fine young folk (not all graduates), and came home even more exhausted, but with an even bigger grin.

This week really is a blinder. After the Friday talk in Lit, me and 1The Younger went to the Alexander McQueen exhibition at the V & A. GO AND QUEUE. IT IS INCREDIBLE.

After 39 years on this blue green planet, I have found a curry I like. This pleases me.
That is all.

I need to go back to work - this holiday lark is exhaustingl Latitude, graduation, Alexander McQueen and now a wedding in Bristol. Would like to be watching a movie with my dog but am in a car (& have been for about 6 hrs; not there yet) with family. Don't judge me.

So good. She must go. Get there for 9, opens at 10 then second (longer) queue inside. We had about 1 1/2 hrs queuing then the same til our time slot. (Or book one of those 3am slots available next weekend - er, no) takes about 2 hours. Breathtaking and exceptionally well staged.

Having a Bogart/Bacall weekend, getting a few chores done to Key Largo, To Have and Have Not & The Big Sleep. The drunk woman in Key Largo reminding us of my sister-in-law at last week's wedding.

I know I spend far too much time travelling as it is (20 flights in June and July alone this year) but I am really exited cos we're all packing our bags this evening for a family trip to Berlin to see Damien Rice at live the beautiful Tempodrom.

I received my first lot of course materials for my OU module today. It doesn't start until October but it doesn't hurt to get a head start. I'm doing A224 inside music. This is the last course before I get my degree (Maths, the last chance to get a named degree, they're all going to be open degrees from now on with a list of modules that you've completed, as if I've got enough space on a 2 page CV for that.)

hello thos eof you still looking at this forum. I need a gentle nudge of help. I am going to my dad in laws wake next week. Whilst he (or the family) are not particularly 'political', the wake will be in a conservative club (due to mum in law going to a wake there and it being nice).
SO.......whilst OBVIOUSLY its MORE important to be there to celebrate the life of someone and some things are more important than partisan political views etc......i fell i should do something....shouldnt i?
SO....my questions. Firstly, should i do something at all? Being as its a wake? (i would think my dad in law wouldnt mind at all....). AND....in the case i should do something.....what very low key tiny act of rebellion would be good in this situation? Im OBVIOULSY not gonna dirty protest in the sink or urinals etc....and i dont wanna affect the wake. I need......something tiny and hardly noticible. Or something that wont be noticed on the day, but will be....'effective'....
your views please?
