It doesn't matter to me whether it's being performed by John Williams, Pentatonix, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra or just the local primary school, I reckon Carol of the Bells is terrifying. In a good way maybe, but insanely creepy in any case.
So, is this twee indie version by MXMS any less harrowing? No, not at all. It's as ominous and sinister as all the rest.
It's how Christmas must sound in Stephen King's nutty room.

Okay, Cocteau Twins took it classy.... chapeau! I'm posting #14 early: played Latitude, so must be okay yeah? But I'm going 'wintery' rather than 🎄 Xmassy. And I'm on the phone and techno useless so advent pics 'may' follow Attachments:

This is ridiculously kitsch but why not! And look out for the gayest ever Father Xmas convention at the start!

This song is very definitely not a Christmas tune.
But it's a great little track, and I am always reminded of it every time I see the Rockefeller Centre tree (78ft this year) in every single Christmas film.

Just a nice simple cover of a Christmassy classic today.

I have always liked James Mercer, until a) he never came back to Suffolk, and Latte, like wot he should have, b) he randomly fired band members (not festive) and c) he was pretty boring on his comeback playing EOTR Still a tune is a tune, but what I mostly like about that album are the other bands. Now searching 'Preservation Hall Jazz Band' on spotify

Wishing you all a Christmas full of musical gifts, aural and physical and a happy and stress-free 2019 xx

The best xmas no 1 ever. So, as of tonight, I will do the traditional thing of being off the internet (apart from netflix/bbc i player. it isnt the stone age!) or mobile phone until 2019. Fuck me, this year has been grim. And the beginning of 2019 looks to be a chore too. But, to blatantly nick something some one said once somewhere, We are gonna have to go through a ton of Shawshank before we get to the redemption. So....yeah. Im SURE it will get....maybe not 'better', but at LEAST a bit less crap. Anyway....spam may be a possibility. (also, attention spammers. Do you actually KNOW the Latitude clientelle? I would guess that around 99% of them have NO interest in spice and spice-like substances.....Maybe try with something more up their street? Like.......quinoa? Or artisan beer? Thanks). Thanks for using this silly forum still. And for putting up with another year of ranty moz. You are all great. Seasons greetings. x

Just couldn't resist it, as I've actually been listening to this album this week, early or no. And of course it's an absolutely bloody lovely little stocking of varied treats.

Known to be not-a-fan of Low, I like this one in homage to Kath and Kim’s Little baby Cheeeeeeeeezus

No vacuum, I think, but a a whole mess of ‘Not another one? Oh I can’t stand it’...
Thanks for being the spirit of Christmas again, fiveuke, much appreciated. I’ve not got the 1’s decs up yet (after tomorrow’s horror-show, I will need that process) but these will help the letting go xx
