Hello! I am looking for some advice about my campervan. I bought a campervan ticket, stupidly not reading all the fine print. I now have seen that converted vans are not allowed and that you need to specify the following rules: It has a sliding door, windows, a fixed sofa that pulls out into a bed as well as running water as “washing facilities”. We have a flip down table which probably counts as a fixed table, however we do not have a fixed cooker. We normally cook on a normal camping stove outside the van.
It is a properly done van conversion for a Ford transit connect van and is insured as a campervan (not just a van with a mattress at the back). Do you think we will be allowed in with it?
Thanks in advance!

It’s interesting they specify no converted vehicles considering ALL campervans and motorhomes are converted vehicles🤷♂️
It won’t be an issue, the Marshalls won’t care unless it’s blatantly van with a mattress in the back, which your isn’t. I’ll be there in a Land Rover defender so🤷♂️

Thanks in advance! The rules I read a minute ago didn't mention that. We will be in a converted Transporter. It has a fold down bed, a cupboard and swivel seats. The rules I read didn't mention sliding windows, running water or washing facilities. This is the first time I have been to Latitude, but based on any other festival I have not had an issue despite what the rules say.

The current campervan conditions are these: - There must be a door that provides access to the living accommodation.
- A bed, which is an integral part of the living quarters which has a minimum length of 1800mm or 6 feet. This can be converted at night from seats used for other purposes during the day but must be permanently fixed within the body of the vehicle.
- There must be a water storage tank or container on or in the vehicle.
- A seating and dining area, permanently attached to the vehicle. The table may be detachable but must have some permanent means of attachment to the vehicle. It's not good enough to have a loose table.
- There must be a permanently fixed means of storage, a cupboard, locker or wardrobe.
- There must be a permanently fixed cooking facility within the vehicle powered by gas or electricity.
- There must be at least one window on the side of the accommodation
But: in reality it's years since I've seen them check anything much on the way in at all. Even then it was just the odd spot check on someone that got unlucky, and they were really just looking for glass IIRC. As others have said, you'll be absolutely fine.

They dont enforce those rules. For example in recent years a number of people in the campervan section with roof tents on cars, which clearly dont meet those rules at all.
